Entryway, Via Emanuele Filiberto, Rome, Italy

The hotter it gets, the more I love my lunchtime swim routine.

My family and I took a drive to Siena, Italy when we stayed in Florence in early June. I found these wonderful travertine (or marble) cubes at a shop not far from the city center. I bought them. All I could think of were these wonderful scenes of marble quarrying in a video I’d seen just before I left. Watch this guy’s hands.

Spent some of May/June in Italy with my family. I enjoyed visiting, gazing at, and sometimes drinking from fountains in Rome.  On hot days the cool water from those streetside fountains was always refreshing.

Thank you for this, unknown graffiti artist.

Mama Roma!

The Spanish Town Parade was too rainy for our taste. But we wore our pink t-shirts anyway.
